- 2/3 cup plus 1/4 cup extra dark or Dutch-processed unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon table salt
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 gallon ice cream, your choice of flavor, softened
