- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon raw turbinado sugar (you can also use granulated sugar)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 eggs, beaten (for egg wash)
- extra sugar for sprinkling on top
